Position: Senior Social Worker
Location: 4 Manchester Road, BD5 0QL
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 3+ Months
Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Job Responsibilities
Carry out assessments for children and families.
Provide professional advice and guidance on safeguarding and welfare matters.
Work directly with children, families, and partner agencies to support positive outcomes.
Make informed decisions based on assessments, legislation, and local authority procedures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and reports.
Attend meetings, reviews, and case conferences as required.
Manage workload effectively and prioritise tasks independently.
Communicate clearly with service users, colleagues, and external professionals.
Person Specification
Must-Have Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with valid Social Work England registration.
Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualified experience working directly within an English Local Authority.
Experience of direct work with children and families.
Strong assessment, decision-making, and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and use initiative effectively.
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, including Children’s and Adults’ Barred List checks.
Right to work in the UK.
Ability to provide two practice-based references covering the last two years, including explanation of any employment gaps.
Nice-to-Have Requirements
Previous experience within Bradford Children and Families Trust or similar local authority settings.
Familiarity with safeguarding frameworks and multi-agency working practices.
Ability to adapt quickly within fast-paced social care environments.
