An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a growing residential developer delivering high-quality housing developments across Greater Manchester and the wider North West.

This Assistant Quantity Surveyor position would suit someone with previous residential or housing experience who is looking to progress their career within a supportive and forward-thinking commercial team. The successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial management of multiple residential schemes, assisting with subcontractor procurement, valuations, cost reporting, and commercial administration throughout the project lifecycle. This role provides an excellent platform for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their technical and commercial knowledge within a growing business.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the commercial management of residential developments

• Supporting subcontractor procurement and package management

• Assisting with valuations, variations, and final accounts

• Preparing cost reports and forecasting information

• Working closely with site and commercial teams across live developments

• Supporting the delivery of projects within budget and commercial targets

• Building relationships with subcontractors and suppliers

• Assisting senior commercial staff with day-to-day project support

The ideal Assistant Quantity Surveyor will have previous experience within housing, residential construction, or housebuilding and will be looking to continue developing within a commercially focused role. Strong communication skills, organisation, and a positive attitude towards learning and progression are essential for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor position.
